inherits a world it never made,
and as it does so, it automatically becomes the trustee
for those who come after."

HDSF would like to thank all of our friends,
supporters, sponsors and volunteers who helped make
the charity Fashion Forward event, which was presented
by Absolute Addiction and iKY Clothing, a success. On
Friday, November 21, 2008 more than 300 people packed
Shadow Room for Fashion Forward. The event, which was
sponsored by EES, Strauss Radio Strategies, Inc., and
Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce, helped
to raise money to support
HDSF's Empowerment Program.

Broadway Gallery, and
Pamela's Punch and Broadway Gallery are thrilled to
announce a very cool partnership. Each month, beginning
June 2008, Pamela's Punch will feature a piece of art found
within Broadway Gallery. This piece will be auctioned
off on the Punch. At the end of the month, the winner
will buy from the Gallery, but all proceeds will go
directly to (drum roll please): Hoop Dreams
Scholarship Fund! Please check out the website Pamela's Punch for more
to everyone who joined the HDSF staff for an evening to
celebrate Susie Kay's Birthday at The Park at Fourteenth!
